Car Wrapping that's so good...

Whilst many of our clients are local residents looking for car wrapping in Oxfordshire, we're proud to say that our reputation for excellence has now expanded far beyond Oxfordshire's borders and we regularly have clients travelling from nearby counties of Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire Hampshire, Buckinghamshire, and beyond.

In fact, many travel for over 1hr to bring their car to us rather than more local car wrap companies.... that speaks volumes.

    Our Vinyl Wrapping Process

    Step One: Clean and Prep

We know that cars can get covered in mud around the Oxfordshire and Cotswold country roads so we ask all our customers to give their cars a thorough wash before arrival as this will help speed up your check in process.

On Day 1, when vehicles arrive, they are fully checked over before you hand over the keys. Any scratches or marks are checked off on our hand-over sheet.

Every inch of the car is decontaminated until no dirt is left that might affect the finish of the wrap. Our team will strip down any necessary parts, this often includes headlights, tail lights, door handles and window trims. These are all stored carefully until it's time to fit back together.

    Step Two: Final Checks

Before wrapping each panel, we use approved surface preparation product, supplied by vinyl manufacturers themselves.

Now all that is left to do is to get wrapping!

    Step Three: Let’s Wrap

Wrapping begins on Day 2, after the car has had time over night to dry.

Each car is allocated a 2 man team to complete the wrap. Occasionally extra hands are pulled in to make tackling larger or more complex panels that bit easier.

A full exterior colour change wrap will take around 5 working days, from drop-off to pick-up. We typically arrange this from Monday to Friday to reduce the time you are without your car. Some larger vehicles may take longer, and some smaller vehicles may be quicker. When you book in, we will give you a drop off and pick-up date.

    Step Four: Quality Control

Once the wrap is complete, your car will be reassembled with any parts that were removed.

A complementary professional photoshoot, showcasing all the best angles of your fresh wrap.

This is the perfect opportunity for quality control check to take place by another member of the CG team, as we get close up shots at every angle.

    Step Five: Hand-Over

Once we are completely happy with the finish of your vinyl wrap, we're ready to hand over!

After we've had confirmation that you're over the moon (often with a jaw-drop moment), we take sign off and hand over the keys.

We love to hear from our previous customers, and have had many clients come back time and time again. You can follow us on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn as well as subscribe to our YouTube channel to keep up to date with all of our current projects.

    FAQ's

    What is Vinyl Wrapping?

Sign writing and graphics for commercial vehicles has been around since the 1920s, but it wasn't until the 1950s that it started to become known for personal vehicles.

Vinyl wrapping is the process of apply a thin, self-adhesive PVC material to an object, usually a vehicle. Vinyl comes in all different colours, finishes and thicknesses and is made for a wide range of uses. At Complete Graphics, for full car wraps we use 3M 2080, Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film, Arlon PCC and Hexis 20000/30000.

How Long does it take to wrap a car?
To wrap a car, it can take between a few days to just over a week, depending on the car and the level of finish you are looking for. A small car coming in for a full exterior wrap will take just a couple of days. A large car, looking to have a full exterior wrap and door shuts will take 5+ working days to complete.
How much does it cost to wrap a car?
The cost to wrap a car depends on a number of factors such as the size of the car, what aspects are being wrapped (full body wrap, mirror wraps, roof wrap, etc), and the choice or materials etc. You can learn more in our dedicated guide to car wrapping costs. However, as a quick guide, you will be typically looking at the following price ranges:
    • Wing Mirrors (pair): £145 plus VAT
    • Door Panels (each): £150 plus VAT
    • Bonnet: £150 plus VAT
    • Roof: £145 to £450 plus VAT
Our Oxfordshire team will be happy to provide you with an accurate and fully bespoke quote based on your personal requirements. Give us a ring on 01993 684112
How long does a wrap last?

A high-quality vinyl wrap, applied professionally by an expert to a car with good body work should last around 7 to 10 years. If kept well, it can last much longer than this.

The lifespan of a vinyl wrap is also subject to the manufacturing of the product, and some brands will last longer than others.

At Complete Graphics, we work with 3M, Avery Dennison, Hexis and Arlon, all tried and tested by our team.

    Can a wrap be removed?

Yes! One of the major benefits of wrap over paint is that if at any point down the line, you decide to sell or change the colour, the wrap can be removed.

If you currently have problems with your paintwork, it is worth dropping by our office in Oxfordshire to have these looked at by a member of the team, who may recommend that you have the area prepared by a body work specialist before wrapping.

Improper paint repair can have low adhesion to the car body, meaning that some may be lifted off along with the film on removal

My car has some minor dings and dents. Can it be wrapped?
It's always best to wrap a car with the bodywork in the best possible condition (that's why we take so much care during our decontamination process). To help with this, we have connections with a number of local car bodywork repair companies who we are more than happy to put you in touch with. These can help fix any panel dents etc prior to the vehicle coming to us.
Can I have a bespoke design for my car wrap?
Absolutely! We would love to work on a completely unique vinyl wrap design for your car! Whether you would be looking for a layered wrap using self-colour vinyl or a full printed wrap, we can advise about this based on your design ideas. The best way to move forward is to send us some photos of your car and any ideas you have through our contact form and we’ll give you a call back within 1-2 working days to discuss your design.
What vinyl wrap options are available?
There are hundreds, possibly thousands of colours in a wide range of finishes when it comes to vinyl. You could chose a bright gloss finish or go full stealth mode with our range of matte greys, greens and blacks. In between gloss and matte we have Satin, an often overlooking finish but one that often stands out as a more luxurious finish. You don’t have to just choose one colour either! Give us a call to chat to our design team who will create a completely unique design, based on your ideas and choices.
How do I wash my car when it has been wrapped?
Just as with car bodywork paint, if you want to keep your vehicle looking at it's very best there are some simple tips worth remembering. We recommend either washing by hand or using a valet service who are experienced with washing vinyl wrapped cars. You should not use a mechanical car wash (with rotating brushes) as this will affect the finish of the wrap and could cause scratches. Whilst we do not recommend you use a jet wash, if you choose to then we would advise taking a step back to at least a meter away and keep away from the edges where you may increase the chance of water being pushed under the vinyl.
