Overview of the project
Prepare to be wowed by our latest interior project for our design focused client - Your Apartment, Milton Keynes.
Your Apartment is the provider of modern, design – forward serviced apartments across the UK. We were delighted to be selected as the provider of interior vinyl to add vibrancy to multiple surfaces in their newest apartment build - Milton Keynes. Interior vinyl acted as the perfect surface choice across three main areas within the communal areas of the apartments: the lifts, the columns and the laundry room.

Why did Your Apartment opt for interior vinyl?
The team at Your Apartment were introduced to interior vinyl by their designers Simple Simon Design Ltd who had commissioned an eye-catching mural to be hand painted on the main wall of the entrance area. The aim was then to link the rest of the room back to the mural, which included some large and rather dominant pillars. Our Terrazzo effect vinyl from Cover Styl’ was the ideal choice as the pattern of the vinyl incorporated all of the colours within the room and enhanced the mural superbly!
Consistency around colour and texture was integral to the project design objectives, so once the Terazzo vinyl was chosen for the main entrance area, we applied it to five lift doors and also within the laundry room. The finished effect of the Terrazzo was stunning and complimented the bright colourful rooms perfectly.
Not only is interior vinyl aesthetically appealing but it is also highly durable, with a hardwearing finish. This was particularly important to Your Apartment as the surfaces that we wrapped were in high traffic areas. Using interior vinyl in the entrance area will prevent damage and scuffs when visitors inevitably lean and brush up against the columns. Using vinyl on the lifts instilled a bit of ‘fun’ in a usually dull area, whilst also being hard-wearing. Continuing the vinyl Terrazzo theme into the laundry room acted as a quick, cost effective way to add vibrancy whilst also being waterproof and wipe clean.
The process from decision to install
Your Apartment chose the Terazzo vinyl during our site visit which took place a couple of months before installation. The site visit gave us chance to get to know Your Apartment as a client, measure up and provide an accurate quotation. Many clients take our on-site visit as an opportunity to peruse our swatch books and consider the 100s of style options that we have available.
The Terazzo vinyl that Your Apartment opted for was delivered to us at our Head Quarters ahead of installation. Once we arrived on site, our team prepped each of the areas to be wrapped by sanding (where required), wiping down the surfaces, and then priming the corners of the surfaces with an adhesive bond. Once the surfaces had been prepared, the skilled team carefully cut the and applied the vinyl to each of the desired areas, making sure that the intricate corners around the pillars were secured with heat in order to aid the adhesive bond.
The most fabulous thing about vinyl wrapping is that it is super clean, with very little waste and a swift installation time! In fact all of our interior vinyl options are shipped within one day of ordering and since the process is so quick, we are able to offer an extremely efficient turnaround time from booking to instal.
Were there any challenges?
We arrived at the Your Apartment install two weeks before the project was due to complete, which of course came with it’s challenges. By the end of day one of this two day project, it was clear to the Complete Graphics Team that pressures from external contractors would make it difficult to complete the job within the planned time allocated. Flexibility is key in such situations and we were happy to re-schedule the remainder of the install for the following week. Our client quoted:
